The City of St. Charles will be having road work done on Monday, August 15th, that will possibly carry over to Tuesday, August 16th. Residents will be able to leave their houses on Monday morning during the milling process of the road. Late Monday morning the new asphalt will be put down and you will not be able to drive on the road until the asphalt is dry. Grimes Asphalt will be in town doing the work and hope to have all the roads opened back up by Tuesday afternoon.
The affected roads are as follows:
- Lumber Street between W. Sycamore and W. Clanton Streets
- Cross Street between Sycamore and Clanton Streets
- Highland Street between E. Carpenter and E Clanton Streets
Residents are welcome to park on side streets that will not be affected by the construction. The planned timeline could change due to weather.
